Haring, Keith

*1958 Reading, Pennsylvania (USA) - †1990 New York City (USA)

With the invention of his, unfortunately, short-lived stick figures, Keith Haring became the spokesperson of a society that often lacks the words to protest, to warn, to shake up, to remember, and to dream - then as well as now. With little more than 300 works of printmaking (including 85 posters) in a creative period of only 8 years, the striking visual language of Haring’s Short Messages has become deeply enshrined in the visual memory of the Generation Pop Art.
