In 1956, the art critic and publisher Tériade brought out a special issue of the legendary art magazine Revue Verve, which was exclusively devoted to one of Marc Chagalls major themes: The Bible. For this outstanding issue, Chagall composed 18 full-page lithographs in colours and 12 in black and white. For his "Bible I" (4 years later, in 1960, the follow-up issue "Illustrations for The Bible" was published) Marc Chagall focused on characters from the Old Testament such as the Founding Fathers, the Kings, the Prophets and Angels.

Customer reviews at original-prints.com:

Since 2012, our customers have had the opportunity to publish their experiences and satisfaction with Artistshome by leaving a review on the item they purchased. As we strictly adhere to the legal requirements, we do not bother our customers with unwanted review requests. The number of reviews submitted may therefore seem small - but every single one of them is authentic. You have made a significant contribution to ensuring that new customers can shop with us with confidence.

Each consumer review is verified for authenticity prior to publication, ensuring that reviews come only from consumers who have actually purchased the products being reviewed. This verification is done a) by sending individualized links after completing an online order that lead to an online rating form and ensure that access to the rating function is only granted to consumers who have actually purchased a product, or b) by making the possibility of submitting a rating dependent on a prior login to the registered customer account from which a purchase was made.

This lithograph was a long-awaited purchase and I was delighted to find it on Artists Home. Everything went perfect from the beginning to the end, including communication with Christine, updates and prompt delivery. The lithograph arrived as expected, safely packed and supplied with a signed Proof of Identity and a photocopy from a professional catalogue containing information about this lithograph. I would highly recommend Artists Home.
