The whiskers also speak for the fact that we are here dealing with one of Miró’s cats and not with, say a lying sphinx. However, the imagery of the Catalan artist did not make a difference between real existing people or animals and imaginary mythical creatures. Instead every form and every colour blended into a usually happy and cheerful whole. This graphic does not need a title. It will come to us automatically once we open up to Miró’s image language.
